Using short authentic AR Experiences to entice and engage customers in-store
GAME AR Theatre
Compelling content:
Games are great aren't they? We spend days playing them and even longer waiting for them to launch. So, what exactly can you do before the arrival of that amazing triple. Where can you get a jab to treat your cravings until that game does finally arrive.

This was the question GAME UK asked us to answer. We came back with short game-specific AR experiences ready to be played by anyone with a smartphone. We went to great lengths to ensure each experience resonated with the original game to give players an authentic flavour.
Short, Concise:
The concept was simple. Launch GAME app. Scan Marker. ENJOY! The experience lasted a few minutes, making full use of the GAME's retail environment and often providing some sort of incentive for completion.

It was designed in a way to build on sequels and promotional materials released so not to give anything away.
Physical and Digital:
The experience required a physical marker placed in promotional locations or on the floor where it was easy to scan. We had to design all experiences in a way which was easy and fun to play whilst holding the phone pointing towards the marker.

More complex experiences involved encouraging players to move around the store and scan physical markers in order to progress further into the digital experience.
